After You
After you, time stopped,
life lost all meaning,
the poet began writing about sadness,
and once he wrote love poems.
I wanted to get over you,
look at life from a better side,
I wanted a morning beside another woman,
but it wouldn't dawn at all.
I'm still fighting with myself,
in my thoughts, I'm still with you,
while my wounded heart forbids
happy days to dawn without you.
