Don’t Touch My Wounds

Don't touch my wounds,
when you know they burn me,
she went to another’s,
like a leaf down the river.

Don't touch my wounds,
my spring is no more,
she went to another’s,
that beautiful blonde woman.

Don't touch my wounds,
snow is blowing in my soul,
she went to another’s,
he now warms her hands.

She went to another’s,
like a bird toward the south,
and she left me
like a long winter.
